MedVital Raises Funds to Enhance Skin Repair and Wound Care Solutions
MedVital, a medtech startup dedicated to skin repair and wound care, has successfully secured Rs 8.4 crore in its pre-seed funding round, led by Nihar Parikh’s 4point0 Health Ventures. This funding round included contributions from the founders of notable companies such as Tata 1mg, NephroPlus, SafeExpress, Eye Q Hospital, Hexa Health, and AstroTalk.
The funds will be utilised to expand MedVital’s range of products, improve its supply chain, and enhance its distribution network, which targets hospitals, clinics, and home-care environments.
MedVital’s Innovative Solutions
Established by Varun Gupta and Tarun Bansal, MedVital operates a comprehensive platform focused on wound care and minimally invasive aesthetics, featuring advanced monitoring tools and next-generation biomaterials.
NoWound: The Flagship Product
MedVital’s key product, NoWound, is a negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) device that facilitates controlled healing for complex wounds. This compact, digitally enabled device is manufactured locally. The startup also aims to launch liquid chitosan-based dressings and explore dermal and hair regeneration solutions, further enhancing its innovative portfolio.
