Delhivery Appoints Milind Sharma to Lead Rapid Commerce and D2C Brands

Gurugram-based logistics firm Delhivery has welcomed Milind Sharma, previously a cofounder of the now-defunct grocery delivery service Peppertap, as the leader of its rapid commerce and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands divisions.

Sharma joined Delhivery as one of its earliest employees in 2012 but departed in 2013 to establish Peppertap.

Milind Sharma’s New Role at Delhivery

In his new position at Delhivery, Sharma will focus on developing the rapid commerce service and managing the entire product range for the D2C segment. He will also be working on expanding Delhivery’s same-day and next-day delivery services.

Delhivery initiated its rapid commerce service earlier this year with an objective to provide intra-city deliveries for brands within a two to four-hour timeframe from its dark stores.

Sharma’s Vision and Strategy

Milind Sharma expressed his excitement about rejoining Delhivery, stating that it represents a significant return for him. He acknowledged that this was the start point of his entrepreneurial path and expressed his enthusiasm to aid in the next growth phase by enhancing the Rapid Commerce service and supporting the D2C segment while building on Delhivery’s robust foundation with the team.

Delhivery’s Financial Performance

Delhivery recently reported an impressive 114% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 25 crore for the third quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25). Additionally, the company’s operational revenue rose to Rs 2,378 crore in Q3 FY25, up from Rs 2,194 crore in the same quarter of the previous year, FY24.
