About KisanKonnect
KisanKonnect, co-founded in 2020 by Vivek Nirmal and Nidhi Nirmal, operates as a farmer producer company that employs an integrated farming system. The firm provides fresh, hygienic fruits and vegetables, directly sourced from over 500 local farms, delivered to customers’ doorsteps at reasonable prices.
Since its establishment, KisanKonnect has claimed to empower traditional agriculture by developing a strong, tech-enabled supply chain for its vertically integrated business. The company has established a network of over 5,000 farmers, advocating for sustainable farming practices and regenerative agriculture techniques. Its assorted fresh produce, which includes fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, is distributed through a mobile application and an expanding network of KisanKonnect Farm Stores situated across Mumbai and Pune.
Product Offerings
In addition to its fresh produce, KisanKonnect is witnessing an increase in demand for its premium dairy products, made from antibiotic-free and hormone-free milk sourced directly from dairy farmers. The company’s commitment to quality and transparency differentiates it in the competitive fresh-commerce sector.
Delivery Model Evolution
KisanKonnect initially introduced a 48-hour delivery model four years ago and has since improved this to deliver within 4-6 hours across Mumbai and Pune. Recently, the startup has launched a pilot programme for 30-minute delivery, which has received positive feedback from consumers. This development positions KisanKonnect as a significant contender in the rapidly expanding quick-commerce market, allowing it to reach a larger consumer base while empowering farmers to be actively involved in this growth.
