Globalbees Leadership Change: Nitin Agarwal Steps Down
Globalbees Brands, a subsidiary of Brainbees Solutions Limited, is undergoing significant changes in leadership. Nitin Agarwal, who previously held the position of CEO and director at Globalbees Brands, has resigned from his position due to personal reasons.
As per a regulatory filing, Agarwal officially ended his tenure as a director of Globalbees and a senior management personnel of Brainbees Solutions effective April 24. He will continue to assist with transition matters until May 23, 2025.
Taking over the leadership role is Anuj Jain, who has been appointed as the new CEO of Globalbees Brands and will also serve as a senior management personnel within the company.
Currently, Jain holds the title of chief business officer (CBO) for FirstCry’s pre-school segment and also functions as the senior vice president of marketing. He has been part of the company’s leadership since July 2012 and possesses over 23 years of experience in the industry, having previously worked with ITC and L’Oréal.
Globalbees, an e-commerce roll-up firm, raised $18 million in a debt round from Avendus in February 2024. So far, the company has amassed over $270 million in funding, which includes a $111 million Series B round that took place in December 2021, elevating it to unicorn status.
In the financial year 2024, the FirstCry group reported a 15% rise in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 6,481 crore, with GlobalBees contributing Rs 1,209 crore to the overall revenue of the group.
