Ola Electric Mobility has notified stock exchanges regarding the resignation of Vishal Chaturvedi, who served as the Business Head for Cell and was part of its senior management team. According to the regulatory filing, Chaturvedi’s resignation is effective from December 31, 2025, and he has cited personal commitments as the reason for his departure. This marks the first senior management resignation that Ola Electric has revealed in 2025. In the same period last year, the company faced several high-profile exits, including Chief Marketing Officer Anshul Khandelwal and Chief Technology Officer Suvonil Chatterjee, both of whom left in December 2024.
Ola Electric’s cell division plays a vital role in its vertical integration strategy. The company has been increasingly implementing its self-developed 4680 Bharat Cell in various scooter and motorcycle models. Recently, Ola Electric achieved government certification under CMVR norms for its Roadster X+ electric motorcycle, which utilises the 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack. This certification enables the company to commence deliveries and facilitates a broader deployment of its proprietary cell technology.
In other news, Ola Electric has successfully secured Rs 366.78 crore in incentives through the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components for the financial year concluding in March 2025. These incentives are associated with the company’s efforts in manufacturing and localising its initiatives.
