OYO’s Strong Start to FY26 with Impressive Profit Growth
OYO, through its parent company Oravel Stays Limited, has made a remarkable beginning to FY26, witnessing a profit increase that more than doubled in the first quarter of the financial year. According to the company’s annual report for 2024-25, OYO achieved a profit after tax (PAT) exceeding Rs 200 crore in Q1 FY26, a significant rise from Rs 87 crore during the corresponding quarter last year.
Financial Highlights of OYO for Q1 FY26
The report further noted that OYO achieved an EBITDA of Rs 550 crore for the quarter, with a revenue upsurge of 47% year-on-year, reaching Rs 2,019 crore. Additionally, the gross booking value (GBV) showed a substantial increase of 144% YoY, amounting to Rs 7,227 crore. This growth indicates a robust recovery and strong demand across various markets.
Alongside these impressive financials, OYO’s board has approved a 1:1 bonus share issuance for its existing shareholders. For the entire FY25, OYO reported consolidated revenues of Rs 6,252.8 crore, marking a 16% increase compared to the previous fiscal year, with an EBITDA of Rs 1,100 crore and a consolidated PAT of Rs 2,448 crore. The company’s GBV for the year reached Rs 16,250 crore, reflecting a 53% year-on-year growth.
Introduction of PRISM Life Brand
In a strategic decision to solidify its position as a leading lifestyle and hospitality tech conglomerate, Oravel Stays has launched a new parent brand named PRISM Life, also referred to as PRISM. This fresh identity will serve as a corporate umbrella for OYO and its premium brands, including Belvilla, Palette, Clubhouse, and Sunday Hotels.
Global Expansion and Premiumisation Efforts
Based in Gurugram, the company is also focusing on premiumisation while expanding its global presence. In FY25, it expanded its footprint in the US by acquiring Motel 6 and Studio 6, and scaled its home business through Belvilla, Dancenter, and CheckMyGuest in Europe. By March 2025, OYO’s portfolio comprised over 120,000 vacation homes and 21,000 hotels spread across more than 35 countries.
Long-term Vision of OYO’s Founder
In a letter addressed to shareholders, founder and chairman Ritesh Agarwal expressed that the long-term aim is to develop the group into one of the world’s foremost lifestyle companies under the PRISM brand, utilising technology, AI-driven revenue management, and a diverse range of hospitality brands.
