Pronto Achieves Milestone with Over 500,000 Monthly Bookings
Pronto, a home services startup, has completed its first year of operation, achieving significant growth with more than 500,000 fulfilled bookings each month. This impressive figure equates to around 22,000 bookings per day as of the end of March, as shared by founder Anjali Sardana on X.
What Pronto Offers
Pronto operates in the instant home assistance industry, linking households with skilled professionals for tasks like cleaning, washing utensils, and handling laundry. Sardana noted that the company’s progress has been powered by a robust network of over 5,000 professionals on the platform, emphasising the importance of building a dependable supply base while also supporting livelihoods.
Founding and Business Model
Established in 2025, Pronto boasts a hyperlocal on-demand marketplace that guarantees speedy service through a hub-based model. The company aims to provide a consistent service experience rather than occasional bookings, positioning itself as a high-frequency service layer atop traditional home service offerings.
Funding and Future Plans
Pronto’s growth aligns with its recent $25 million Series B funding round, led by Epiq Capital and supported by investors like Glade Brook Capital, General Catalyst, and Bain Capital Ventures. This round followed an earlier Series A funding of $11 million and illustrates the considerable investor backing for this sector. The funding will facilitate expansion into new cities, enhance service provision, and grow the supply side.
Rapid Growth and Competition
In just one year, Pronto has experienced remarkable growth, with daily bookings increasing from over 18,000 in the early months to the current 22,000 level. This trend highlights a sustained appetite for rapid home services. However, the sector is also witnessing intensifying competition from established players and newcomers. Urban Company’s InstaHelp, for instance, has achieved over 1 million bookings in March, reaching upwards of 50,000 daily bookings. Similarly, other competitors, including Snabbit, have registered significant traction with 1 million orders in March. Reports suggest that the company led by Ayush Aggarwal is seeking to raise between $50 million and $60 million in its upcoming funding round.
