Redrob Secures $10 Million Series A Funding for AI Development
Redrob, an innovative AI research startup, has successfully raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Korea Investment Partners. Other contributors included KB Investment, Kiwoom Investment, Korea Development Bank Capital, Daekyo Investment, and DS & Partners. This funding round elevates Redrob’s total financing to $14 million, which incorporates a previously raised $4 million seed round in 2023.
Investment Aims and Future Development
With the newly acquired capital, the focus will be on developing its ML architecture designed to cut costs by 50 times, as well as to create language models tailored to India’s diverse linguistic landscape comprising all 22 constitutionally recognised languages. Moreover, Redrob intends to broaden its AI suite to enhance learning, career development, and productivity in the workplace.
About Redrob and Its Offerings
Founded in 2018 by Felix Kim, Redrob provides an AI-driven outbound intelligence platform that merges natural-language search capabilities with data from over 19 sources. The company’s PeopleSearch tool allows users to access over 700 million global professional profiles and is designed to assist in lead generation, intent filtering, and outreach efforts.
Future Initiatives and Access Plans
Redrob is set to introduce various initiatives, including offering free Redrob LLM access to all Indian universities by the first quarter of 2026. Ongoing discussions with the Ministry of Education aim to facilitate broader student access. Additionally, Redrob plans to release an enterprise suite tailored for SMBs and startups, alongside comprehensive multi-language support by the end of 2026.
Impact of New AI Tools on Education
The company emphasised that these initiatives would enhance the accessibility of its AI Suite, particularly PeopleSearch, which aids in identifying high-intent accounts and decision-makers with data-driven precision. According to Kartikey Handa, the Chief Operating Officer and head of operations in India, the goal is to ensure that every student in India has free access to premium AI tools. The high costs associated with advanced AI models currently limit accessibility for many in India and other emerging markets. Redrob’s advancements aim to achieve substantial cost reductions through sophisticated ML techniques, ensuring high-quality performance at a significantly lower price point.
Democratising AI Access in India
Redrob is committed to making AI more accessible in India by providing free, unlimited LLM access to students, targeting a core market of 300 million learners, as well as professionals and enterprises, especially within the HR and sales sectors.
