Scalekit Raises $5.5 Million for Innovative SaaS Solutions
Scalekit has successfully raised $5.5 million in a seed funding round led by Together Fund and Z47, with contributions from angel investors such as Adam Frankl, Oliver Jay, and Jagadeesh Kunda. Created by Satya Devarakonda along with a team of former Freshworks engineers, Scalekit provides modular and drop-in infrastructure designed specifically for SaaS and AI-first teams.
Modular Solutions for SaaS Teams
Scalekit offers a variety of products, including MCP Auth for agentic servers, Agent Actions for secure API interactions with user consent and capability for revocation, as well as modern human authentication solutions that incorporate enterprise features like SSO and SCIM. In contrast to conventional monolithic options such as Auth0, Scalekit’s à-la-carte model allows developers to implement only the functionalities they require.
Experience from Freshworks
The founding team has prior experience developing Freshworks’ in-house authentication platform, which now serves over 50,000 businesses and 2 million users. They witnessed the challenges faced by SaaS teams in providing secure, enterprise-ready authentication.
Building for the AI-Native Era
Scalekit is focused on constructing the authentication and actions layer for AI-native applications. By employing protocols like the Model Context Protocol (MCP), applications can directly expose functionalities to agents, thus moving away from traditional identity frameworks aimed at human users. Scalekit is poised to establish a solid authentication foundation for what is being referred to as the agentic era.
Adoption by Innovative Startups
With its solutions already adopted by startups such as Hubbl, Sifthub, Fello, Unstract, Tiphaus, and Aerchain, Scalekit assists teams in transitioning agentic workflows from early prototypes to fully operational systems.
