Suniel Shetty-backed Klassroom Edutech, an innovative education-focused OTT platform, has successfully secured an undisclosed amount of growth capital in its latest funding round. This round was led by ah! Ventures, with additional support from LetsVenture, Hem Securities, Meteor Ventures, and Growth Sense Fund. Bollywood actor and entrepreneur Suniel Shetty has been an investor in Klassroom since 2023.
Klassroom Edutech, established by Alka Javeri, Dhruv Javeri, and Dhumil Javeri, merges an AI-driven education OTT platform with more than 200 offline learning centres. Pranav Mahajani, President at Trica Capital, a LetsVenture company, stated, “Klassroom’s innovative hybrid model, merging the education OTT platform with offline learning centres, effectively tackles significant challenges regarding accessibility, affordability, and accountability in education.”
The app fosters a comprehensive learning ecosystem, delivering a broad range of content, including:
– Academic resources
– Skill-based training for industry roles
– Career courses
– Language acquisition
Klassroom reports that its OTT app attracted over 50,000 subscribers within its inaugural year and has reached more than 500,000 students across 600 cities. The startup has also recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Rajasthan to provide skill development courses to 300,000 students and 3,000 schools.

In 2021, Klassroom Edutech raised $200,000 in a pre-Series A funding round, primarily led by ah! Ventures, with the participation of several angel networks including Startup Angels Network, Growth Sense, and Meteor Ventures.
