Airtel Unveils New Prepaid Packs to Access OTT Platforms
Airtel has launched a fresh assortment of entertainment-focused prepaid plans, giving users the opportunity to access more than 25 major over-the-top (OTT) platforms. This marks a first for India, as such a comprehensive collection of OTT services is being provided through a single prepaid offer.
Details of the New Prepaid Packs
The prepaid packs begin at ₹279, featuring subscriptions to Netflix (Basic), JioCinema Premium (formerly JioHotstar), Zee5, and Airtel Xstream Play Premium, among others. Users can opt for either content-only options or plans that include data.
Pack Options Available
- A 1-month content-only pack priced at ₹279, which includes 1GB of data.
- A 28-day bundle for ₹598, incorporating unlimited 5G data and calls.
- An 84-day plan at ₹1,729, also inclusive of unlimited data and voice benefits.
Airtel mentions that the total OTT value provided through these packages is approximately ₹750 per month. Users can enjoy these services through the Airtel Xstream Play app.
Variety of OTT Platforms Offered
Beyond Netflix, the OTT selection comprises platforms such as SonyLiv, Lionsgate Play, AHA, Sun NXT, Hoichoi, Eros Now, and ShemarooMe. Airtel aims to offer a simple and cost-effective method for consumers to experience a vast array of content in over 16 languages, encompassing international, Bollywood, and regional films and shows, all without the hassle of managing multiple subscriptions.
