RhinoTech: India’s First Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector
RhinoTech has been launched by Optiemus Infracom Limited, marking India’s inaugural premium tempered glass screen protector brand, developed with glass technology from Corning.
About RhinoTech
The RhinoTech collection will be produced at the Noida facility of Optiemus, blending Corning’s advanced glass solutions with local manufacturing skills. The company claims these products provide enhanced durability, exceptional clarity, and anti-microbial features, with availability both in India and abroad.
Innovative Protection Made in India
This initiative showcases for the first time the creation of advanced screen protection technology within India, supported by engineering expertise from Corning. In addition, all RhinoTech products come with a unique one-year unlimited replacement policy, which is touted as a global first, alongside a fog mark to verify authenticity.
Target Market and Future Expansion
Initially focused on premium smartphone devices, the RhinoTech range is anticipated to extend to mid-range and budget devices in the upcoming months. Sales are scheduled to kick off in late September 2025 via the official RhinoTech website and selected authorised retail outlets in key cities.
Supporting ‘Make in India’ Initiative
Ashok Kumar Gupta, Chairman of Optiemus Infracom, highlighted that the launch is in harmony with the government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign, aiming to reform the fragmented tempered glass sector into a more consistent and quality-focused market.
Industry Insights
According to market analyses, the demand for tempered glass screen protectors in India is projected to hit approximately 400 million units by 2025, translating to a market value of around ₹20,000 crore. Currently, more than 90% of the supply is imported, and the sector remains largely unorganised. In July 2025, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) unveiled the first global standard for chemically tempered glass screen protectors, striving to elevate quality and consumer confidence.
