Fujifilm GFX100RF Launches in India

Fujifilm is introducing the FUJIFILM GFX100RF to the Indian market, marking the entry of its first fixed-lens digital camera in the esteemed GFX Series. This new release aims to enhance accessibility and portability in large format photography. After the success of the X100VI, Fujifilm expects to engage both professionals and photography enthusiasts with this cutting-edge launch.

Weighing only 735g, the GFX100RF stands out as the lightest model within the GFX range, marrying a robust build with outstanding portability. At its core lies a formidable 102-megapixel large format ‘GFX 102MP CMOS II’ sensor, complemented by the sophisticated X-Processor 5 engine that delivers rapid performance and remarkable image quality. The camera is priced at ₹5,49,999 in India.

Innovative Features of the GFX100RF

The GFX100RF boasts several industry firsts from Fujifilm, including an ‘Aspect Ratio Dial’ that allows users to effortlessly toggle between nine classic and creative aspect ratios, drawing inspiration from the brand’s rich film and analogue legacy. The camera is further elevated by a precisely machined aluminium top plate and meticulously designed controls, amplifying its premium feel.

Its lightweight build, enhanced AI-driven autofocus, and user-friendly design transform the possibilities within fixed-lens photography.

Advanced Technology and Versatility

The GFX100RF’s newly engineered fixed 35mm F4 lens, equivalent to 28mm in 35mm format, provides versatility for capturing landscapes, portraits, and street scenes. A built-in 4-stop ND filter, leaf shutter mechanism, and advanced Nano GI coating contribute to creative flexibility and outstanding image clarity.

From a technological standpoint, the GFX100RF features advanced AI-powered autofocus and subject detection capabilities for animals, vehicles, and beyond, alongside 4K/30P video functions. The addition of a digital teleconverter lever and a dual-axis tilt LCD monitor ensures adaptability across various shooting scenarios. Photographers will also find switching aspect ratios engaging and straightforward thanks to the tactile dial.

As part of the overall package, Fujifilm includes a precision-machined lens hood, a dedicated adapter ring, a weather-resistant filter, and, for the first time in the GFX series, a stylish rope-type shoulder strap.
