Nothing Ear (3) – Enhanced True Wireless Earbuds

Nothing Ear (3) has officially introduced its innovative true wireless earbuds, representing a significant advancement in the brand’s audio product range. This new offering showcases a unique Super Mic system integrated within the charging case, a first in the market, along with metal accents that enhance the company’s recognizable transparent design.

Innovative Super Mic Technology

The Super Mic, located in the charging case, employs dual microphones featuring ambient-filtering technology to focus on the user’s voice while minimizing background noise by up to 95 dB. A simple press of the TALK button allows users to communicate clearly amidst distractions, or even record voice notes that sync seamlessly with Nothing’s Essential Space app for convenient transcription.

Advanced Microphone System

Each earbud incorporates three directional microphones and a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit (VPU) that detects vibrations from the jaw and ear canal. This is complemented by an AI-driven noise-cancellation system, trained on 20 million hours of audio, which guarantees sound clarity even in breezy conditions by reducing wind noise by over 25 dB.

Real-Time Adaptive Noise Cancellation

The Ear (3) provides exceptional real-time adaptive noise cancellation up to 45 dB, adjusting every 600 milliseconds to adapt to the user’s surroundings. An upgraded 12mm dynamic driver, featuring a patterned diaphragm, offers a 20% larger radiating area, enhancing bass by 4–6 dB and treble by up to 4 dB. This leads to a more immersive and expansive sound experience compared to its predecessor.

Environmentally Conscious Design

In a first for the brand, Nothing has incorporated metal elements into its transparent design ethos. The charging case is constructed from 100% recycled aluminium, processed in 27 precise stages, and joined without glue through nano injection moulding. The earbuds are equipped with a 0.35 mm custom Metal-Insulator-Metal antenna, which significantly improves signal power and sensitivity for consistent connectivity.

Enhanced Battery Life

The battery performance has seen a remarkable enhancement, allowing for 10 hours of playback per charge, an increase of 90 minutes from the previous model, while the total playback time with the case reaches up to 38 hours. A quick 10-minute charge via USB-C provides 10 hours of listening time, and wireless charging is supported as well. The earbuds are compatible with Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring ultra-low latency of under 120 ms for gaming, and they hold an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.

Availability and Pricing

The Nothing Ear (3) will be available in black and white for £179 / $179 / €179 (approximately ₹15,700). Global pre-orders started on 18 September 2025, with sales commencing on 25 September in select markets. The launch in India is confirmed, but further details on pricing and release will be announced soon.
