Motorola Razr 60 – The Innovative Foldable Smartphone

The Motorola Razr 60 has been introduced in India, showcasing a price of ₹49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. This latest foldable smartphone stands out in the flip phone category by offering several groundbreaking features, such as gesture-controlled video recording and Pantone-validated colour accuracy in its camera, as well as the support for both motoAI and Google Gemini on its external display.

Camera and Video Features

The Motorola Razr 60 boasts a 50MP main camera equipped with optical image stabilisation, complemented by a 13MP ultrawide and macro lens, and a 32MP selfie camera. Additionally, it presents the capability for users to start, pause, or stop video recordings using hand gestures.

Design and Durability

This device also features India’s first flip phone finishes in Pearl Marble and Fabric textures, along with an option in vegan leather. These colour variants are carefully curated in collaboration with Pantone. The hinge is reinforced with titanium and certified for longevity, expected to withstand over 500,000 folds, enhancing its durability. The phone’s weight is approximately 188g, and it is rated IP48 for water and dust resistance.

Display Specifications

The Razr 60 includes a 6.9-inch main LTPO pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching up to 3000 nits. Furthermore, the external 3.6-inch pOLED screen, shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, is the largest in its category and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Users can also enjoy multiple “Flex View” modes, including Camcorder, Desk, and Tent modes, catering to various content creation and multitasking needs.

AI Integration

Motorola is emphasizing the incorporation of AI capabilities as a distinguishing factor. The Razr 60 uniquely offers motoAI and Google Gemini features accessible on the cover screen, positioning it as the sole flip phone in its price bracket with such functionality. Users can enjoy tools for personalised summaries, live transcription, image generation, smart recall, and voice-based search without having to open the device. Additionally, AI-driven editing features in Google Photos and creative tools like AI-generated avatars and stylised wallpapers enhance the user experience.

Performance and Battery Life

The Razr 60 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, incorporating on-device AI processing. It operates on Hello UI based on Android 15, promising 3 years of operating system updates and 4 years of security updates. The device supports 30W wired and 15W wireless charging for its 4500mAh battery, along with connectivity options including Wi-Fi 7 and dual SIM (physical + eSIM).

Availability

The Motorola Razr 60 will be available for purchase starting 4 June at 12pm through Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Motorola.in, and other prominent retail outlets across India. It will come in three Pantone-curated colours: Lightest Sky (Pearl Marble Finish), Gibraltar Sea (Fabric Finish), and Spring Bud (Vegan Leather Finish).
