Arthur Lam, Director of OxygenOS and AI Strategy at OnePlus, stated that the basis of OnePlus AI revolves around understanding user needs. Users have expressed a desire for AI to assist them in working smarter, enjoying leisure time, and being their genuine selves. The mission of OnePlus AI is to empower users to go All In On Life by developing personalised AI solutions that cater to individual preferences.

Introducing the Plus Key

Building on the legacy of the well-known Alert Slider, the Plus Key serves as a multifunctional, programmable hardware button. It offers users the ability to execute quick tasks like changing sound profiles, launching the camera, or activating AI-driven features such as translation and recording. Central to this experience is AI Plus Mind, which enables users to capture, organise, and retrieve on-screen information effortlessly—be it schedules or reservations—using either a single press or a three-finger swipe. AI Plus Mind employs artificial intelligence to evaluate the context of saved content, allowing for the extraction of calendar events and categorisation of information for easier access.

Capabilities of the OnePlus AI Suite

The OnePlus AI suite is packed with a variety of functions, including:

• AI VoiceScribe: Records, summarises, and translates meetings or calls via popular apps.
• AI Call Assistant (India): Available on OnePlus 13s, it provides automatic call summaries and real-time translations during phone calls.
• AI Translation: Integrates text, voice, camera, and screen translation features into a single app for seamless global communication.
• AI Search: Facilitates natural language searches across files, settings, notes, and calendars, enhancing retrieval efficiency.
