Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Launch

Samsung has confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The launch is scheduled for 13 May at 1pm in India. This model is poised to be the slimmest smartphone ever released by Samsung.

Design and Events

The design of the Galaxy S25 Edge has been showcased at various events, including Galaxy Unpacked in January and MWC in March. However, Samsung has yet to provide official specifications or details about this remarkably slim phone.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a remarkable 200MP main camera at the rear, all while maintaining a thin profile. It will also come equipped with Galaxy AI capabilities.

Expected Features

While nothing is officially confirmed apart from the camera, numerous leaks have given a good insight into what to expect. The device is anticipated to have a titanium frame with a mere 5.85mm thickness, weighing only 163g. It is designed with a 6.7-inch 1440×3120 AMOLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded under the screen.

Durability and Performance

For durability, the front of the phone will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the rear will feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 12GB RAM. The dual camera setup at the back will consist of the confirmed 200MP main camera along with a secondary 12MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. A 12MP f/2.2 selfie camera will be available as well.
