Klarna Utilises AI Avatar for Earnings Announcement
The buy-now-pay-later giant Klarna recently showcased an AI-generated version of its CEO and co-founder, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, in a video detailing its Q1 2025 results. The 83-second clip, first highlighted by TechCrunch, opens with the AI avatar stating, “It’s me, or rather, my AI avatar.” Klarna has been vocal about its commitment to AI, with Siemiatkowski remarking to CNBC that AI investments have led to a more streamlined workforce. This isn’t the first occasion that Klarna has employed an AI version of its CEO to communicate company performance.
Zoom’s CEO Follows Suit with AI Companion
In a similar vein, Zoom CEO Eric Yuan adopted an AI avatar for the company’s Q1 2026 earnings call. Yuan used his digital likeness, enhanced by Zoom’s AI Companion, to express his insights during the earnings report.
Highlights of Zoom’s Earnings Call Approach
“Today, I’m using our custom avatars for Zoom Clips with AI Companion to share my portion of the earnings report,” Yuan’s avatar conveyed in the video, which also featured a “created with Zoom AI Companion” tag. Following the presentation, the real Yuan participated in a live Q&A, enthusiastically supporting this technology: “I truly love my AI-generated avatar. I think we are going to continue using that. I can tell you, I like that experience a lot.”
