Omen Max 16 is HP’s latest release, marking its most potent gaming laptop in India. Tailored for avid gamers, this laptop boasts cutting-edge hardware along with artificial intelligence capabilities designed to enhance gaming performance and overall system efficiency.
The Omen Max 16 features the Intel 24-core Core Ultra 9-275HX processor paired with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 GPU. It provides up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM along with a 1TB PCIe 5.0 SSD, delivering a total power draw exceeding 250W from the processor and graphics. An advanced cooling system backs this power, featuring dual fans, comprehensive heat pipe coverage, a vapour chamber that envelops 61% of the motherboard, and a hybrid liquid metal compound for superior heat transfer.
Additionally, HP has unveiled an innovative AI-driven system optimisation tool known as Omen AI, allowing for one-click adjustments to performance settings. According to HP, this technology learns from user gameplay trends and modifies settings in real time to provide higher frame rates and a more stable gaming experience. Currently, Omen AI supports titles like Counter-Strike 2 and plans to widen its game compatibility in the future.
The Omen Max 16 also boasts a remarkable 16″ 2560×1600 IPS display featuring a 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and support for variable refresh rate (VRR). For connectivity, HP’s Ultra Low Latency Gen 3 technology supports the simultaneous connection of up to three HyperX devices. Additionally, it includes a Full HD infrared camera that offers facial recognition through Windows Hello, complete with a physical privacy shutter.
Regarding design, the Omen Max 16 comes in Ceramic White or Shadow Black, featuring customisable per-key RGB lighting as well as an optional RGB light bar, all manageable via the Omen Light Studio.
Reflecting HP’s commitment to sustainability, the laptop is constructed using ocean-bound plastics, recycled metals, and materials from post-consumer recycling efforts.
The HP Omen Max 16 is now available in India through HP’s online store and on Amazon, with an entry price of ₹3,09,999. The Omen AI feature is also accessible globally in beta.
