Ranveer Allahbadia Apologises for Controversial Comments
YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known as BeerBiceps, addressed the ongoing controversy stemming from his recent appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. In a video shared on his social media, Allahbadia stated that his comment was not only inappropriate but also lacked any comedic value. He expressed his desire to offer an apology directly.
Ranveer Allahbadia’s Acknowledgement of Mistake
Allahbadia articulated that he does not wish to utilise his platform in such a manner and he declined to provide any context or justification for his remarks.
He emphasised the importance of his audience, which spans all age groups, mentioning, “I do not want to be someone who takes that responsibility lightly, and family is the last thing I would disrespect.”
Learning from the Experience
Moreover, Allahbadia reflected on this experience, noting that he recognises the need to handle his platform with greater care.
He committed to improving, stating, “I have requested the creators of the video to edit out the insensitive parts. All I can say at this point is I’m sorry. I hope for forgiveness as a fellow human.”
The Controversy Unfolds
Ranveer Allahbadia has found himself at the centre of a controversy since his appearance on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent. In a now widely circulated clip, he posed a question to a contestant: “Would you prefer to watch your parents engage in sexual activity every day for the rest of your life or participate once and then stop it forever?”
Additionally, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, known as The Rebel Kid, is also under fire from netizens for her remarks regarding women’s private anatomy. Users on social media have labelled her comments as more troubling than those made by Allahbadia.
Formal Complaints Filed
In response to the controversy, a complaint has been lodged by Rahul Easwar with the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, targeting Raina and the production team of the show. The complaint alleges that Allahbadia and Makhija employed “abusive language” during their appearance.
