Raina acknowledged that many topics, such as death, children, abortion, and depression, can create discomfort. He emphasised that one cannot cater to every request regarding sensitive subjects. “If we fulfil one request, we will have to accommodate all. In that case, let ChatGPT entertain you. The point is there’ll be comedy on everything and on every topic,” he added.

He highlighted that the aim of comedy is not to enhance the viewers’ character or wisdom. “Comedy is entertainment, having fun. We all laugh, and then we all die. That’s all,” Raina concluded.

Controversy Surrounding India’s Got Latent

In recent developments, YouTube has removed the latest episode of India’s Got Latent following orders from the Government of India, amidst backlash from the discussions featured on the show. Allahbadia’s provocative questions, including one asking a contestant if they would rather witness their parents engaging in sexual activity every day or participate once, have contributed to the controversy. Additionally, comments made by Apoorva Mukhija, known as The Rebel Kid, regarding women’s private parts, have drawn criticism.

As the situation escalates, the Parliamentary panel on Information Technology is expected to summon Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, regarding his remarks during the show. Several Members of Parliament have lodged complaints, and FIRs have been filed against comedian Samay Raina in connection with the episode.
