Serious Burn Injuries to Boy in Nagpur During Holi Celebrations
A four-year-old boy in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district suffered significant burn injuries after his grandmother purportedly poured boiling water on him during Holi festivities, according to police reports.

The event took place on March 3 in the Aramshin locality of the Koradi area and was caught on a nearby CCTV camera.
What Happened
As per police officials, the child, named Om Harish Wange, was outside his house playing with a spray bottle filled with colour as part of the celebrations.
While playing, he lightly sprayed paint on his grandmother. Upset by this, the woman, known as Sindhu Thackeray, allegedly retaliated by throwing boiling water from a bucket onto the young boy. Reports indicate that the water had been heated using wood collected for a nearby Holi bonfire.
The Aftermath
The young boy experienced severe burns, particularly on the lower part of his body, and was quickly taken to a private hospital in Nagpur for urgent medical care. Medical professionals have assessed that he sustained approximately 45 percent burn injuries.
Investigation Underway
Authorities confirmed that this alarming incident was recorded on CCTV, and the footage has circulated widely on social media. Police have initiated the process of filing a case against the grandmother, and investigations are continuing.
