Frontier D2C AI Summit: Transforming Consumer Businesses with AI
Frontier, a D2C AI Summit, took place in Gurugram, uniting over 150 D2C founders and CXOs, alongside more than 25 AI leaders and representatives from 100 brands to delve into the ways artificial intelligence is changing consumer enterprises. The focus of the event was on AI’s influence across various aspects including discovery, customer interactions, conversions, retention, operations, and financial performance, rather than viewing AI as merely a separate tool.
Event Highlights
The agenda explored how AI has the potential to reshape consumer brands’ business models and profit and loss statements as organizations transition from testing isolated AI tools to fully integrating the technology within their operations. This summit featured a series of activities, including four AI workshops, four operator-led discussions, a fireside chat, networking opportunities, and an AI Experience Zone.
Workshops and Discussions
The event began with a workshop led by Pradeep Sekhar, the India CEO of Base.com, focusing on how AI agents can be deployed to track real-time profitability across multiple channels. Following this, a panel discussion titled “The AI-Native Consumer: How AI Is Rewriting Discovery, Conversation & Conversion” was held, featuring Ojasvi Bhatia from Meta, Apurva Mudgal from WhatsApp, Ayushi Gudwani, Vaibhav Makhija, Aditya Singhal, and Sahil Jindal, Managing Director of the Jindal Group.
In the pre-lunch session, the spotlight was on the technological frameworks that aid in the adoption of AI. The afternoon segment commenced with a fireside chat hosted by Abhishek Shah, featuring Gaurav Mangla, the CEO of fastrr by Shiprocket, and Nitin Agarwal. This was followed by a workshop centred on autonomous AI.
Summit Objectives
Discussing the goals behind the summit, Abhishek Shah, Chief Evangelist at D2C Insider, noted that while numerous founders have tested AI tools, only a limited number have successfully woven AI into their essential business practices. The event also included an AI Experience Zone, expedited networking sessions, and tailored introductions for founders based on their business stage, category, and growth targets.
Leveraging D2C Insider’s expansive community of over 30,000 D2C founders and operators, Frontier served as a platform for entrepreneurs and ecosystem participants to exchange ideas around AI adoption and investigate potential partnerships.
