Bobble.AI Enters Insolvency Proceedings

Bobble.AI, a homegrown AI-driven communication and data intelligence startup, has commenced insolvency processes. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) located in New Delhi has accepted an insolvency request against Talent Unlimited Online Services Private Limited, which is the legal entity associated with Bobble AI. This has initiated the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) against the firm, as indicated by documents from the Registrar of Companies (RoC). The decision was made on June 12 following a petition submitted by Axis Trustee Services Limited, serving as the debenture trustee for a collective of investors.

Appointment of Interim Resolution Professional

Per the tribunal’s order and regulatory documents, Manish Agarwal has been designated as the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP). Furthermore, a moratorium on the company has been declared, restricting any legal actions, asset sales, or recoveries against Bobble AI for the time being.

Financial Background and Defaults

The recent filings reveal that Bobble AI secured Rs 25 crore in March 2023 by issuing secured debentures to investors. However, the company began to default on repayments starting from August 2025. When accounting for interest, the total default amounted to roughly Rs 5.77 crore. The security linked to these debentures had also been registered with the RoC, according to the submissions.

Company’s Position on Defaults

Bobble AI contended that since discussions with lenders were ongoing, the defaults should not be counted at this stage. Nevertheless, the tribunal rejected this argument, stating that internal communications from the company acknowledged the debt and pending payments.

Awaiting Comment from the Founder

Startup Superb has reached out to the founder of Bobble AI, Ankit Prasad, for a statement regarding the situation and will provide updates as soon as a response is received.

About Bobble.AI

Bobble.AI develops an AI-powered Indic keyboard that supports over 120 languages, featuring facial recognition for customised GIFs and stickers. The application is integrated with WhatsApp and Facebook (Meta), monetising through advertisements, data insights, subscriptions, and branded merchandise. This Gurugram-based company has successfully raised approximately $35 million, including $26 million through a combination of primary and secondary capital from Krafton Inc in September 2022. Notably, Krafton owns nearly a 25% stake in the 12-year-old firm.

Recent Developments

In the previous year, the company also undertook layoffs, reducing its workforce by around 50 employees as part of a restructuring initiative. Startup Superb presented this information exclusively.
