Elvie, a pioneering hardware startup founded by women, has introduced an innovative app-controlled smart bouncer that seamlessly converts into a bassinet, allowing the baby to remain in place during the transition. Announced at CES 2025 on Monday, the new Elvie Rise enables parents and caregivers to effortlessly manage soothing, sleep, and play without the need to move the baby around.
Renowned for its range of women’s health solutions, including a connected breast pump and a smart pelvic floor exerciser, Elvie is now expanding into the sleep category with this latest offering.
In bouncer mode, the device utilises Elvie’s SootheLoop technology to imitate the bounce pattern initially created by a parent or caregiver. Additionally, it can function as a manual bouncer for parents preferring non-automated bouncing. When switched to bassinet mode, the smart bouncer adheres to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) sleep safety recommendations, ensuring a secure sleep environment for babies during the night and nap times.
Parents and caregivers can also leverage the companion Elvie Rise Sleep & Soothe app to control the automated bouncing functionality. This app will provide essential insights into the baby’s sleep patterns, aiding in better parenting.
The Elvie Rise boasts a sturdy, flat mattress crafted from breathable materials and features a magnetic contact charger for convenient cordless operation.
Elvie assures customers that the product complies with U.S. safety standards for both bassinets and bouncers.
“We’ve engaged with countless postpartum parents, and following feeding, the significant concern was soothing the baby and ensuring sleep,” stated Elvie Chief Product Officer Alex Knox in a press release. “Elvie Rise empowers all parents and caregivers to reclaim some hands-free, guilt-free time for themselves, with the peace of mind that their baby is safe and secure.”
Elvie Rise will be available for preorder on Elvie.com starting Monday for $799.
