Timekettle introduced its newest earbuds, the W4 Pro, at CES 2025 in Las Vegas this week. This innovative product enhances the company’s mission by providing real-time two-way translation for phone and video calls.
The earbuds initiate translations in 40 different languages automatically, requiring no user intervention. However, there is a slight delay of approximately three to five seconds after speech is detected.
Timekettle states: “This newly introduced feature enables seamless two-way translations, making cross-lingual conversations effortless across all telecommunication platforms or traditional phone systems. It ensures bidirectional synchronous translations while maintaining the integrity of the original voice quality.”
It is important to note that the translated audio may be louder than the original sound. Furthermore, these headphones utilise onboard AI technology to summarise the main points of the conversation.
The W4 Pro can also function similarly to previous Timekettle models, allowing users to share an earbud for in-person translations.
These headphones run on the newly unveiled Babel OS, which provides rapid transitions and features designed to predict spoken content, adapt to tailored lexicons, and translate with authentic human emotion and tone, according to Timekettle.
The Babel OS will also be available for older models. The W4 Pro earbuds will be available for purchase on Sunday, with a price tag of $449.
