Marketing Leadership Changes at Lightspeed Venture Partners
Marketing leadership at Lightspeed Venture Partners has seen a significant shift with the departure of Mansi Chugh, who served as VP of Marketing and Communications for almost four years, as reported by sources familiar with the situation. Chugh joined the firm in 2022, where she was tasked with establishing and enhancing the marketing and communications division. During her tenure, she also led the marketing team through a pivotal transition as the company expanded its operations in India.
This change marks the second notable exit from the senior marketing leadership at Lightspeed in recent times. Previously, Carina Chopra also stepped down after around three and a half years in the firm.
Chugh’s Contributions to Lightspeed
Throughout her time at Lightspeed, Chugh was instrumental in amplifying the visibility and influence of the global Lightspeed brand across the Indian subcontinent. Despite several attempts to reach out, there was no immediate response from Chugh regarding her exit.
Chugh’s Professional Background
Before joining Lightspeed, she held various roles in communications, public relations, and marketing at several companies, including MakeMyTrip, Marriott International, FleishmanHillard, MullenLowe Lintas Group, First Partners, and Hanmer MSL.
Future Plans for Lightspeed Venture Partners
The timing of this development is notable as Lightspeed appears to be gearing up to raise its fifth fund focused on India and Southeast Asia. Multiple media reports indicate that the firm is seeking to raise a corpus of approximately $500 million.
