Nurix AI, a company specialising in autonomous AI solutions for intricate business workflows, has made a significant move by acquiring Verloop.io, a conversational AI firm. This acquisition complements NuPlay, the leading voice AI platform of Nurix for enhancing customer interaction, while integrating Verloop.io’s expertise in chat automation and its established customer presence. The goal is to broaden Nurix’s conversational AI functionalities in both voice and chat for enterprises in India and the Middle East.
With this acquisition, Nurix AI, alongside Verloop.io, is set to empower businesses to implement production-grade AI agents across various channels, including voice, chat, and emerging AI-native platforms, ultimately ensuring measurable results at scale. Established in 2024 by Mukesh Bansal, Nurix is committed to creating AI agents that enable businesses to streamline intricate workflows, thereby realising concrete business outcomes. Supported by notable investors such as General Catalyst, Accel, and Prosus, the company is dedicated to guiding businesses from AI pilot projects to full-scale deployment, enhancing efficiency, dependability, and operational effectiveness.
In September 2024, Nurix AI successfully raised $27.5 million in funding through a co-led investment by General Catalyst and Accel, with additional support from Meraki Labs. Verloop.io, founded by Gaurav Singh in 2015, has excelled in automating customer interactions across various digital channels within sectors like banking, fintech, retail, and telecommunications. Now part of Nurix AI, the team at Verloop.io will aid in extending the company’s reach within chat-driven customer engagement scenarios.
The merger enhances Nurix’s capacity to provide AI agents adept at both real-time voice communication and delayed chat interactions. Following this agreement, Verloop.io will integrate into Nurix AI, although specific product integration details are not being disclosed at this moment. Verloop.io proudly states that it currently facilitates over 20 million customer interactions on a monthly basis.
