Red.Health Acquires Majority Stake in TACT Academy for Clinical Training
Ambulance service provider Red.Health, previously known as StanPlus, has successfully acquired a majority stake in TACT Academy for Clinical Training. This strategic move aims to establish a global centre of excellence in the allied healthcare sector, focusing on emergency medical services and pre-hospital care. The goal is to prepare a workforce ready to tackle healthcare challenges both in India and internationally.
About TACT Academy
Founded in 2007 by N. Ramakrishnan, TACT, now rebranded as RED TACT, strives to empower its trainees through simulation-based clinical training. This collaboration allows Red.Health to maintain a consistent supply of skilled professionals, significantly improving response times and the quality of care provided in over 30 cities. This initiative also supports Red.Health’s vision of initiating a 911-like emergency system within India, ensuring preparedness in critical situations.
Expansion Plans for Training
Utilising Red.Health’s expertise and extensive nationwide reach, RED TACT intends to create a robust training network in major cities including:
- Hyderabad
- Kolkata
- Delhi
- Bengaluru
In addition to delivering its established curriculum, the academy will introduce innovative programmes such as:
- A finishing school for healthcare professionals
- Bridge courses for newly graduated MBBS students
- NABH training packages
- Various skill-based courses
Digital Learning Integration
As part of its growth strategy, Red.Health plans to incorporate digital learning platforms to enhance the accessibility of quality training in both urban and rural areas. This collaboration will also enable partnerships with universities to develop academic programmes that effectively connect theoretical knowledge with practical application.
