Accel Promotes Pratik Agarwal and Rachit Parekh to Partner
Accel, a distinguished venture capital firm, has officially promoted Pratik Agarwal and Rachit Parekh to Partner. Their tenure at Accel spans six years, during which they have made significant contributions to the firm’s investment strategies, engaged with founders, and developed its portfolio.
Both Agarwal and Parekh have been instrumental in nurturing early-stage startups and guiding investment decisions. Accel’s recent announcement on X highlighted that this promotion reflects its strategy of expanding with seasoned investors who resonate with the firm’s objectives and principles. They will persist in collaborating with the existing team to discover new prospects and enhance support for portfolio companies.
In India, Accel has invested in a wide array of companies, including prominent names like Flipkart, Freshworks, and Swiggy, among many others.
Over the years, Accel has made several promotions to partner roles. Notably, in 2019, Accel India elevated three principals to partner status: Abhinav Chaturvedi, Prayank Swaroop, and Barath Shankar.
This January, Accel introduced its eighth fund, earmarking $650 million to bolster early-stage startups across India and Southeast Asia.
