Rymo Technologies, a pioneering startup in robotic neuro-rehabilitation, has successfully raised Rs 10 crore in a seed funding round led by IAN Group through its evergreen fund, alongside contributions from various angel investors. The funding will drive product innovation, enhance manufacturing capabilities, and bolster the company’s footprint across India, as well as expand into international markets like ASEAN and the Middle East, Rymo Technologies communicated in a press release.

Founded in 2020 by Chirag Shah and Abhishek Rai, Rymo Technologies is committed to transforming physical rehabilitation with cutting-edge robotics, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence. The startup develops innovative, accessible, and cost-effective solutions, including its flagship Mobi-L system, aimed at assisting individuals recovering from strokes, injuries, and neurological issues regain their mobility and independence.

Located in Mumbai, the startup is addressing a significant gap in neuro-rehabilitation. Despite the growing incidence of strokes and neurological conditions worldwide, access to advanced rehabilitation remains constrained by a lack of trained therapists and the high costs associated with robotic rehabilitation systems.

According to Rymo, the company has devised a multi-layered technology base that integrates patented hardware design, proprietary algorithms trained on patient data, and a modular system approach. Their multi-joint robotic rehabilitation system is enhanced with AI-driven therapy personalisation, providing measurable recovery outcomes.

Rymo has already shown substantial traction within the healthcare sector, with over 452 device installations and 354 clinical customers, which include prominent institutions like AIIMS, Apollo Hospitals, and Manipal Hospitals. The systems have catered to more than 7,500 patients, contributing over 15,000 therapy hours, with studies suggesting recovery outcomes that are up to 25% faster.
