Chupps Footwear Welcomes Ajinkya Rahane as Investor and Advisor

D2C footwear brand Chupps Footwear has brought on board cricketer Ajinkya Rahane as both an equity investor and a strategic advisor during its pre-Series B funding phase. The specific investment amount has not been revealed. Existing investors also took part in this funding round. The capital raised is aimed at enhancing product innovation, increasing offline presence, and bolstering brand visibility.

Established in 2020 by Yashesh Mukhi, Chupps operates as a D2C open footwear brand dedicated to comfort wear. Rahane, who has previously been a customer of the brand, will work closely with the founding team on product development initiatives. This includes a focus on recovery footwear and advancements to its ERGO Charge technology.

Omnichannel Strategy

Chupps has developed a robust omnichannel strategy through its own website, as well as popular marketplaces like Myntra and Amazon. The brand is also expanding its offline retail footprint in key markets, including a growing presence in the UAE.
