Amagi Media Labs Ltd Announces IPO Details
Bengaluru-based SaaS firm Amagi Media Labs Ltd has published its red herring prospectus (RHP), detailing its upcoming initial public offering (IPO) with a set price band ranging from Rs 343 to Rs 361 per share. The public issue, valued at Rs 1,788.62 crore, is scheduled to open for subscription on January 13 and will close on January 16, while the anchor book will commence on January 12. Investors will need to acquire a minimum of 41 shares, which translates to an initial retail investment of approximately Rs 14,800 at the peak of the price band.
Structure of the IPO
This IPO will consist of both a fresh issue and an offer for sale (OFS). The company plans to raise about Rs 816 crore through the fresh issuance, while existing shareholders are expected to sell shares worth nearly Rs 972.62 crore via the OFS route. According to the Red Herring Prospectus, the funds raised from the fresh issue will be utilized to enhance technology and cloud infrastructure, seek inorganic growth opportunities, and cover general corporate expenses. In November of the previous year, the company secured SEBI approval for its initial public offering.
Investors in the Offer for Sale
A range of early and growth-stage investors is participating in this OFS, including Accel India VI (Mauritius), Norwest Venture Partners X – Mauritius, and PI Opportunities Fund I & II, alongside individual shareholders such as Rajat Garg, Rahul Garg, Prem Gupta, Kollengode Ramanathan Lakshminarayana, and Rajesh Ramaiah.
Company Background
Established in 2008, Amagi operates a cloud-native SaaS platform designed for media companies, facilitating the launch, distribution, and monetization of advertising across connected TV (CTV), OTT platforms, and linear television. The company boasts a customer base that includes numerous global broadcasters, streaming platforms, and content owners, with a significant proportion of its revenue derived from international markets, particularly the US.
Financial Performance
On the financial side, Amagi continues to experience rapid growth. For the fiscal year concluded in March 2025 (FY25), the company reported an impressive revenue of approximately Rs 1,162 crore. Additionally, Amagi has notably reduced its losses during this period.
At the high end of the pricing range, Amagi is projected to secure a post-issue valuation exceeding Rs 7,800 crore.
