Investment Opportunities: Anicut Capital Launches Rs 250 Crore Seed Fund

Investment opportunities are expanding as Anicut Capital, an alternative investment firm, has introduced a Rs 250 crore seed fund aimed at supporting approximately 20 early-stage startups over the upcoming three years. This fund will specifically target seed and pre-Series A enterprises across various sectors, with the exception of real estate.

Anicut Capital intends to provide as much as $1 million for each startup and plans to offer further investment through its growth equity platform as the portfolio companies experience growth. This new fund is a continuation of Anicut’s first seed fund which was established in 2020.

The firm has stated that the new fund will assist startups striving to create scalable businesses that exhibit robust unit economics and large market prospects. Moreover, it will extend support to founders after investment, including strategic advice, assistance with fundraising, and access to a vast investor network.

Established in 2015, Anicut Capital oversees over Rs 3,500 crore in assets through various strategies, including private credit, seed funding, growth equity, and late-stage equity. Its investment portfolio spans multiple sectors, including SaaS, consumer goods, fintech, logistics, and deep tech.
