Armatrix Secures Major Seed Funding to Advance Robotics Technology
Deeptech robotics startup Armatrix has successfully secured Rs 67.28 crore during a seed funding round, with significant backing from UK-based Crane Venture Partners, alongside various new and returning investors. This recent funding boosts the company’s valuation nearly fivefold compared to its previous funding round less than a year ago. In January 2026, Armatrix previously raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed round, led by pi Ventures, with contributions from Inuka Capital, Boundless Ventures, Boost VC, Turbostart, and gradCapital.
According to regulatory filings reviewed by Startup Superb, the company has issued 4,070 compulsory convertible preference shares (CCPS) at a price of Rs 1,64,900 per share, alongside 10 equity shares, to accumulate this capital. The funding round is still in progress, with the Delhi-based startup expected to secure additional funds in later tranches.
Crane Venture Partners spearheaded this round, investing Rs 40 crore. Existing investor pi Ventures contributed Rs 15 crore, while gradCapital invested Rs 4.52 crore. Other notable investments came from Boundless Ventures with Rs 2.5 crore and Inuka Capital with Rs 2.37 crore. NKSquared also entered with an investment of Rs 2.37 crore.
Other participating investors include AL Trust, Saurabh Chandra, Unacademy co-founder Roman Saini, and existing investor Narayan Rangarajan, who collectively contributed Rs 67 lakh. Estimates from Startup Superb indicate that Armatrix’s valuation increased by 4.8 times, reaching Rs 360 crore in this seed round compared to Rs 75 crore during its pre-seed round. The company aims to utilise the fresh funds for expansion and general corporate needs.
Founded in 2024 by Vishrant Dave, Prateesh Awasthi, and Ayush Ranjan, Bengaluru’s Armatrix focuses on developing snake-like robotic manipulators tailored for operations in hazardous and confined industrial environments. Its advanced technology facilitates inspection and maintenance across diverse industries, including shipbuilding, nuclear energy, oil and gas, and aviation, thereby reducing the necessity for human workers to enter perilous spaces.
As reported by Moneycontrol, Armatrix had previously engaged in discussions to secure $15 million in a seed funding round led by Crane Venture Partners. The company remained at the pre-revenue stage in FY26, reporting a net loss of Rs 3.05 crore.
