Bharat Matrimony Invests in AI Astrology Start-Up

Bharat Matrimony, a member of Matrimony.com Group, has committed $500,000 to Bengaluru-based AI venture Ask My Guru (AMG). This follows AMG’s previous seed funding of $1.2 million, bringing the total amount raised to $1.72 million. This investment aims to advance AMG’s development of AI astrology technology and its integration into Bharat Matrimony’s platform.

Founded by Krishna Mohan Vedula and Vivek Sadamate, Ask My Guru offers AI-powered Vedic astrology solutions tailored for matchmaking. Their algorithms leverage Vedic and KP systems to provide users with compatibility assessments, astrological advice, and insights regarding relationships, careers, and life decisions. Since its beta launch in June 2025, the platform reports over 400,000 registered users and has facilitated 5 million chats.

Global Expansion Plans for Ask My Guru

Ask My Guru has plans for worldwide expansion, with an initial focus on the US market. Meanwhile, Bharat Matrimony will leverage its extensive user base of over 4 crore customers, accessible through web, mobile, and over 130 retail outlets.

Integrating AI Astrology into Matchmaking

This collaboration places AI astrology as a fundamental element of online matchmaking, effectively aligning cultural traditions with modern technology to offer scalable matchmaking solutions.
