BlueStone Appoints Amit Jain as Non-Executive Director

Jewellery retailer BlueStone has announced the appointment of Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of CarDekho Group, as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, effective September 14, 2026. This decision was ratified during the company’s 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM), according to regulatory filings accessed by Startup Superb. Jain will succeed Sameer Dileep Nath, who opted not to seek re-appointment after his term ended.

About BlueStone

Founded in 2011, BlueStone serves as a jewellery retailer with both an online platform and a network of offline stores. The company prides itself on offering a variety of jewellery products and is actively expanding its retail presence throughout India.

Market Position and Growth

BlueStone is recognised as India’s second-largest digital-first omnichannel jewellery brand. Recently, the company enhanced its retail reach by inaugurating 12 new stores in Q1 FY27, bringing its total to 352 locations across 139 cities. Currently, BlueStone serves over 12,660 PIN codes, with nearly half of its outlets situated in Tier II and Tier III markets.

Financial Performance

In Q1 FY27, BlueStone’s operating revenue experienced a remarkable increase of 49% year-on-year, reaching Rs 737 crore. Additionally, the company achieved profitability with a net profit of Rs 6 crore, contrasting with a loss of Rs 35 crore in Q1 FY26. BlueStone’s operating performance during this quarter underscores its sustained momentum towards profitability.

Competitive Landscape

Operating in India’s fiercely competitive organised jewellery market, BlueStone faces competition from notable brands such as CaratLane, Tanishq, Kalyan Jewellers, Senco Gold, PC Jeweller, and Thangamayil Jewellery, among others.
