Lenskart Share Transactions and Financial Growth
Lenskart has recently experienced a substantial block deal involving major financial entities such as BNP Paribas Financial Markets and Societe Generale, which collectively sold shares valued at nearly Rs 2,700 crore on August 31, 2026. Data from the stock exchange indicates that BNP Paribas Financial Markets divested 1.29 crore Lenskart shares at Rs 662.22 each, totalling approximately Rs 855 crore. Meanwhile, Societe Generale offloaded 1.41 crore shares at Rs 661.53 each, bringing the total value of its deal to about Rs 931 crore.
The block deal statistics also reveal that BlackRock Emerging Markets Fund has sold 3.07 lakh shares for around Rs 2 crore, while Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) liquidated 1.35 crore shares valued nearly at Rs 893 crore. Overall, approximately 4.08 crore shares of Lenskart changed ownership for Rs 2,699.5 crore.
This latest sell-off occurred just days following another significant transaction involving Lenskart. On August 28, around 2.95 crore shares with a value of Rs 1,857 crore were exchanged in a block deal, with Alpha Wave Ventures possibly being one of the sellers. The shares were traded at Rs 630 each, while various global and domestic institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, ICICI Prudential, and SBI Mutual Fund, participated as buyers.
This follows SoftBank’s second major divestiture of its stake in Lenskart since June. The renowned Japanese investment firm sold 4.5 crore shares for Rs 2,888 crore in August, having previously sold shares worth Rs 2,873 crore in June.
Other early-stage investors have also reduced their stakes. For instance, ADIA sold shares valued at around Rs 1,960 crore in June, while Temasek offloaded shares worth roughly Rs 1,940 crore in July. Combined with SoftBank’s two sales, these transactions total approximately Rs 9,660 crore from June to August.
Despite these exits by investors, Lenskart continues to demonstrate robust growth. Its revenue for Q1 FY27 increased by 43% year-on-year, amounting to Rs 2,714 crore, with profits reaching Rs 228 crore.
Currently, Lenskart’s shares are trading at Rs 659.25 (as of 12.48 PM), with a total market capitalization of Rs 1,14,585 crore ($12 billion).
