BorderPlus Secures Rs 60 Crore to Enhance Global Career Opportunities
BorderPlus, an innovative cross-border workforce mobility platform, has successfully acquired Rs 60 crore ($7 million) in a funding round led by Owl Ventures. This round also saw contributions from notable entrepreneurs like Binny Bansal, Mithun Sacheti, Ritesh Agarwal, Aakash Chaudhary, and Apoorva Patni. This event signifies BorderPlus’ inaugural institutional funding.
The funds raised will support BorderPlus in its goal to facilitate international job opportunities for skilled Indian professionals, with an initial focus on those working in healthcare and nursing sectors.
BorderPlus was co-founded by Mayank Kumar, who has a strong background with upGrad, along with Ayush Mathur, a distinguished former senior leader at OYO, in January of the current year.
Comprehensive Support for International Careers
The platform offers extensive support that encompasses various aspects such as finishing school training, language acquisition, visa assistance, job opportunities, cultural adjustment, recognition of local qualifications, financing options, and talent leasing services.
Training Initiatives for Nurses
BorderPlus has already commenced the training of its initial cohort of nurses. This tailored preparation for global job placements includes a holistic programme covering language skills, visa assistance, job placement services, cultural integration, and financial aid.
