Lytmus AI: AI Mentors for Competitive Exam Preparation
Lytmus AI, a startup located in Bengaluru that focuses on creating AI mentors for competitive examination readiness, has successfully secured Rs 5 crore in a pre-seed funding round, which was spearheaded by Boundless Ventures. This new influx of capital aims to enhance the startup’s AI capabilities, speed up product development, and broaden student engagement, initially targeting the NEET sector, as outlined in a company press release.
About Lytmus AI
Established in 2024 by Ajit Kumar and Praveen, Lytmus AI is dedicated to developing AI mentors for students preparing for competitive exams. The platform integrates persistent memory and contextual awareness with expert knowledge from educators to form AI mentors that address queries in real-time and provide guidance throughout the academic journey. Currently, the service is accessible via mobile, primarily focusing on NEET.
How the Platform Works
The company’s platform operates on two distinct levels. The infrastructure layer is informed by the teaching methodologies of subject specialists, enabling AI mentors to elucidate concepts efficiently. Meanwhile, the application layer preserves memory and context for each individual student, thus tailoring the learning experience to meet personal needs.
Market Demand and User Engagement
Given that over two million candidates register for NEET annually, Lytmus AI recognises a substantial need for tailored academic assistance during exam preparation. The startup reports that its platform has been utilised by more than 16,000 students in the last 90 days. It has also highlighted that students benefiting from the AI mentor tend to engage in up to three times more daily practice compared to those who do not have such guidance.
Competition in the Sector
Lytmus AI faces competition from established players in the field, including Physics Wallah, Unacademy, Arihant, and Infinity Learn.
