Bengaluru-based medical technology startup Cureous Labs has successfully raised Rs 1.66 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), with additional investments from Anthill Ventures. The funding will be allocated towards the production of the inaugural batch of its flagship product, Eturnal, establishing inventory, growing its sales and business development teams, launching its first disinfection centre, and completing necessary product safety testing and certifications. Furthermore, Cureous Labs intends to broaden its offerings for B2B clients in India.

Founded by Asish Mohandas, Cureous Labs is committed to developing automated patient repositioning systems aimed at reducing pressure injuries while enhancing caregiver efficiency. The product is competitively priced at one-fifth of international counterparts, making it an appealing option for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and home care environments.

Proven Impact and Market Potential

The device has already seen impressive statistics, recording over 30,000 hours of usage and over 14,000 automated patient turns. Market analysis indicates that the global market for elderly and bedridden patient care is currently valued at $277 billion, with India’s total addressable market reaching $8.34 billion.
