Daksham Growth Ventures Raises Rs 125 Crore for DGV Fund I
Daksham Growth Ventures is thrilled to announce that it has raised Rs 125 crore in the initial closing of its first consumer-oriented fund, known as DGV Fund I. This fund is registered as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and aims for a total corpus of Rs 150 crore, with an additional greenshoe option of Rs 150 crore, bringing the total potential fund size to Rs 300 crore.
Investment Approach and Fund Details
The first closing was predominantly supported by family offices, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs), and various entrepreneurs. This achievement followed swiftly after the fund received its SEBI registration in October 2026.
Shivam Diwan, the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Daksham Growth Ventures, will lead the fund’s investments principally in pre-Series A and Series A companies within India’s consumer landscape. DGV Fund I is set to invest between Rs 5 crore and Rs 20 crore in businesses that have already demonstrated product-market fit along with robust unit economics. The focus will be on companies achieving annual recurring revenue (ARR) in the range of Rs 25-75 crore, with the capability to grow to Rs 300-500 crore in revenue.
Investment Strategy Segments
The investment strategy of DGV Fund I encompasses four key segments: direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, consumer enabling services, B2B2C and supply chain enterprises, and consumer-focused artificial intelligence (AI) ventures.
In addition to providing financial support, Daksham Growth Ventures aims to assist its portfolio companies with governance, financial reporting, brand positioning, leadership development, and expansion of distribution. The fund intends to offer board participation, strategic advisory services, and access to extensive industry networks, thus helping businesses enhance their organisational capabilities.
