Drivn’s Commercial Mobility Startup Secures Rs 45 Crore in Funding

Drivn’s commercial mobility venture in India has successfully secured Rs 45 crore, equivalent to $4.7 million, in a seed funding round spearheaded by Avaana Capital. This financial boost follows Drivn’s earlier commitment of $80 million from the Japanese financial services group Nomura in February 2026. The additional capital was raised by Drivn’s Indian operational branch, while its parent company is situated in Singapore.

Details of the Fundraising Round

As per regulatory documents obtained by Startup Superb, the board of the Indian entity approved the issuance of 33,98,792 compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) priced at Rs 132.40 each. Avaana Capital has injected the full amount of Rs 45 crore into this round of funding.

The recent infusion of capital is intended for addressing business requirements and general corporate activities.

About Drivn

Established in 2025 by Manav Bansal and Alpna Jain, Drivn operates from Gurugram, focusing on a comprehensive electric mobility platform aimed at large commercial vehicles. The startup is involved in the ownership and leasing of electric intercity buses and heavy-duty trucks, in addition to offering fleet operations and various services tailored for commercial fleet operators.

Services and Infrastructure

In its mission to foster an integrated platform, Drivn also supplies charging infrastructure and battery lifecycle management solutions, assisting businesses in transitioning their commercial fleets to electric vehicles.

Ownership and Stake Distribution

Following this latest fundraising event, Drivn Transition PTE. LTD, based in Singapore, maintains the majority stake in the Indian operation, holding 88.75% ownership. Avaana Capital possesses a 7.22% share, while co-founder and CEO Manav Bansal possesses a 4.03% stake.

Financial Status

Despite obtaining fresh capital and securing the commitment from Nomura, Drivn’s Indian entity is still classified as pre-revenue for FY26. According to its regulatory filings, the company reported a financial loss of Rs 1.96 crore during the fiscal year.
