Ember Cookware Secures $3.2 Million in Seed Funding

Cookware brand Ember has successfully obtained $3.2 million in seed funding from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and existing investors. The investment saw significant input from Suhasini Sampath, co-founder of Yogabar, alongside Apurva Salarpuria. The funds will be channelled towards scaling research and development, enhancing proprietary cookware technology, increasing manufacturing capacity, and solidifying market presence.

Chef and entrepreneur Saransh Goila has become an investor and partner at Ember. Renowned for his popular Goila Butter Chicken brand and his appearances on MasterChef Australia, Saransh will spearhead Ember’s innovative lab, which aims to create tailor-made solutions to address the distinct challenges faced in Indian kitchens.

Founded in 2024 by Siddharth Gadodia and Himanshi Tandon, Ember offers top-tier clean cookware featuring its unique Arcilla ceramic coating and Thermoclad technology, specifically designed for the demands of Indian cooking.

Crafted in California in collaboration with product design firm Box Clever and produced in Italy, Ember’s cookware harmonises global quality benchmarks with the robustness required for Indian households. The brand is poised to reach an annual recurring revenue of Rs 30 crore within the first year of launch. Ember faces competition from global names like GreenPan and Tefal, as well as domestic brands such as Meyer, Bergner, and Stahl.
