Ferns N Petals Plans IPO by 2028 with Focus on Expansion

Ferns N Petals (FNP), a prominent omni-channel gifting and floral retail brand, is preparing for a public offering by the end of 2028. This initiative is part of their strategy to enhance growth and pursue acquisitions, as indicated by Reuters. Pawan Gadia, the Global CEO, mentioned to Reuters that the company aims for an annual revenue growth of approximately 25% in the coming years. The funds raised from the IPO will be used for business expansion and acquiring new brands within the gifting sector.

Financial Performance and Profitability Goals

In the financial year 2026, FNP reported a revenue of Rs 1,085 crore, showcasing a substantial year-on-year growth of 25%. The company is also placing more emphasis on profitability, projecting its core earnings margin to rise to between 5% and 6% in the current fiscal year, compared to 2.5% last year.

About Ferns N Petals

Established in 1994, Ferns N Petals serves as an omni-channel gifting platform offering flowers, cakes, and personalised gifts through various channels including their website, third-party e-commerce platforms, company-operated stores, and franchise locations. FNP has a presence in India, the UAE, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, with India accounting for almost 55% of its total revenue. The company seeks to extend its reach to Malaysia and further into Gulf markets.

Expansion Strategy for Retail Footprint

As part of its growth strategy, FNP aims to increase its retail presence to 350 stores by the financial year 2028, up from the current count of around 280. While continuing to open company-owned stores in metropolitan areas, the brand intends to implement a franchise-led approach in smaller towns.

Funding and Other Ventures

FNP has successfully raised approximately $27 million in funding so far, with Lighthouse among its significant investors. In addition to its core gifting business, the company also engages in hospitality and wedding operations through Udman Hotels and FNP Weddings and Events. FNP faces competition from various players in the market, including IGP (Indian Gifts Portal), FlowerAura, Winni, and Archies.
