Flipkart Announces Leadership Changes in Finance
Flipkart has revealed that Group CFO Sriram Venkataraman will be stepping down from his position, marking a significant leadership transition within the company’s finance division. Venkataraman will remain involved for a duration to facilitate a seamless transition. During this interim period, Ravi Iyer, who serves as CFO at Flipkart, will manage the wider finance organisation.
New Appointment at Flipkart
In addition to this change, Flipkart has welcomed Nishant Verman as the Senior Vice President for Corporate Development and Partnerships. Verman’s role will concentrate on enhancing the company’s corporate development and partnership strategies. He returns to Flipkart after founding Bzaar, a platform specialising in cross-border exports. Verman brings with him experience from his time in corporate development at Microsoft and investment banking at Morgan Stanley.

The company has asserted that its finance function is backed by the current leadership teams across its various business units, with established governance processes already in place.
Recent Developments at Flipkart
This month, Flipkart has purportedly laid off approximately 300 employees as part of its annual performance evaluation process. Furthermore, reports indicate that Flipkart has successfully completed its reverse flip, moving forward with its plans for an initial public offering (IPO).
