Flo Mobility Secures $2.5 Million to Enhance Construction Robotics
Bengaluru’s construction robotics company, Flo Mobility, has successfully raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round, with key contributions from Mela Ventures and Arali Ventures. The funds will primarily be invested in scaling up manufacturing, enhancing the AI and autonomy capabilities, expanding operations throughout India, as well as venturing into international markets, especially in the Middle East.
Background of Flo Mobility
Founded in 2021 by Manesh Jain and Pratik Patel, Flo Mobility focuses on creating Physical AI and robotic solutions tailored for the construction industry. The startup’s main offerings include autonomous robots designed for efficient material movement and various workflows across expansive construction sites.
Flagship Product: Flo Hauler
The highlight of Flo Mobility’s product line is the Flo Hauler, an autonomous mobile robot powered by batteries. It boasts the ability to transport loads weighing up to 1.5 tonnes within construction environments, even managing operations across multiple floors. This advanced robot is crafted to navigate unstructured spaces that frequently change, often facing challenging weather conditions.
Client Success Stories
Flo Mobility has reportedly deployed over 60 robots in 10 states across India, working alongside notable developers such as L&T, Godrej Properties, Embassy Group, Sobha, and Capacite Infra. Feedback from clients has indicated significant benefits, including nearly 45% in cost reductions, a 50% increase in material transport speed, and a 67% decline in accident rates.
