Priya Mohan Joins JoulesToWatts as Chief Operating Officer
Priya Mohan is now the Chief Operating Officer at JoulesToWatts (J2W). According to J2W, her role will encompass the entire lifecycle of AI implementation, spanning from initial diagnostics and strategic design to execution, change management, and overall outcome delivery. With over two decades of experience in investment, operations, and enterprise technology, Mohan is well-equipped for this position.
Her recent tenure at General Catalyst allowed her to work closely with India’s global capability centre ecosystem and delve into the enterprise AI landscape. In August, she communicated through LinkedIn her decision to resign from General Catalyst after an extensive career in venture capital.
Founded in 2015 by Priti Sawant, J2W is a Bengaluru-based firm specialising in talent management and IT services, focusing on the design and construction of global capability centres, flexible staffing, and managed services. The company is dedicated to developing AI-enabled hubs for Fortune 500 clients, boasting over 3,000 employees and operations in both India and the US.
Priya Mohan’s Career Journey
Mohan began her career in investment banking and later co-founded the edtech startup Vidyartha, which provided assessment solutions and was ultimately acquired by BYJUS in 2017. In August 2024, she joined General Catalyst following the merger with Venture Highway.
Previously, she served as Managing Partner at Venture Highway, where she was instrumental in investing in notable companies including fintech startup FamPay and SaaS company BetterPlace. In October 2023, she assumed the role of Managing Partner at Venture Highway, succeeding co-founder Samir Sood, while the firm was actively raising its third fund of $60 million.
