Hoola Health: Funding and Expansion in Paediatric Healthcare
Hoola Health, a paediatric healthcare startup formerly identified as BabyMD, has successfully raised $5 million in a funding round spearheaded by Peak XV’s Surge. The round also included contributions from existing backer W Health Ventures, along with angel investors such as Ashish Gupta, Abhishek Goyal, and Bijou Kurien. The recently acquired funds will be directed towards expanding into new markets, enhancing technological capabilities, and scaling the integrated paediatric care model.
Overview of Hoola Health
Founded in 2024 by Deeksha Senguttuvan, Hoola Health operates child-centric clinics that provide a range of services including paediatric consultations, vaccinations, diagnostics, developmental therapies, and specialist care. The startup amalgamates traditional clinics with digital solutions to manage vaccination records, track growth, issue prescriptions, and monitor development.
Current Operations
The Bengaluru-based enterprise operates five clinics and has catered to over 20,000 families within just 18 months of its establishment. Hoola Health reports that more than 60% of new patients are derived from word-of-mouth referrals, further noting that over 60% of monthly visits come from returning clients.
Revenue and Growth Strategies
The startup claims that approximately 35% of its revenue is generated from developmental therapies, highlighting the increasing demand for comprehensive child healthcare services. There are plans in place to establish an additional 30 clinics across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi NCR within the upcoming two years. Additionally, Hoola Health aims to introduce new services that will include paediatric dental care.
Rebranding to Hoola Health
Concurrently with the funding news, the startup has undergone a rebranding from BabyMD to Hoola Health. This change reflects its ambition to expand its influence across various stages of child healthcare and developmental support.
