IdeaForge Technologies has experienced substantial revenue growth in Q1 FY27, with an exceptional increase of over five times compared to the previous year, although the company returned to a loss following a profitable March quarter, alongside a decline in sequential revenue.
Financial Overview of IdeaForge in Q1 FY27
The revenue from operations surged to Rs 68.58 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 12.78 crore in Q1 FY26, marking a remarkable year-on-year growth of 436.6%, based on the financial statements submitted to the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Furthermore, the company recorded Rs 1.96 crore in additional income, raising total income for the quarter to Rs 70.5 crore, in contrast to Rs 16.7 crore in Q1 FY26.
Breakdown of Expenses for IdeaForge
The cost of materials constituted the company’s largest expenditure, increasing by 7.15 times to Rs 34.97 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 4.89 crore in the equivalent quarter last year. Employee benefit expenses rose by 20.9%, reaching Rs 15.1 crore, up from Rs 12.49 crore. Additionally, depreciation expenses escalated by 44.9%, amounting to Rs 14.2 crore from Rs 9.8 crore.
Finance costs experienced a significant increase of 5.49 times, totalling Rs 2.03 crore compared to Rs 0.37 crore in the previous year. Other expenses also saw an 11.9% rise, reaching Rs 16.2 crore, an increase from Rs 14.48 crore. In total, IdeaForge’s overall expenses soared by 96.4%, amounting to Rs 82.5 crore in Q1 FY27, up from Rs 42 crore in Q1 FY26.
Net Loss Performance
Consequently, IdeaForge’s net loss significantly narrowed by 89%, reducing to Rs 2.59 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 23.56 crore in Q1 FY26.
Sequential Revenue Decline
When assessed sequentially, the operating revenue of the company plunged approximately 51% from Rs 141 crore in Q4 FY26. IdeaForge had previously reported a net profit of Rs 60 crore in Q4 FY26 before returning to a loss in the June quarter.
Recent Financing Activities
In June 2026, IdeaForge Technologies secured Rs 500 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) by issuing 62.89 lakh shares at Rs 795 per share.
On the market front, IdeaForge’s shares closed at Rs 902.10 on Friday, contributing to a market capitalisation of Rs 4,483 crore.
